Why the hell did they have to do so much in one point release, it's totally reckless and unprofessional.
They could have released the new devices as one thing, piecemeal and have a different rolling build that has an alpha channel for the UI rewrite and installer changes.
By lumping so much together in one point release (that's a joke), they have created major headaches for customers and for themselves.
The way it should work is you have continuous integration and nightly public builds that have the latest stuff. By doing that it allows fast turn around on issues and builds a tighter cohesion with the community and feedback.
There should also be a way to enter issues in the product. At least in the alpha/beta versions so people don't have to spin up an email thread.
They could even use Github for issues so everyone could see the status of things.
If they did that it would save everyone time and money because people wouldn't be emailing them with duplicate issues and them having to respond.
It really doesn't have to be so hard. And considering it is the most advanced DAW going, the hygiene of the development pipeline and community interaction leave a heck of a lot to be desired, especially when there are extensive tools available to deal with all this stuff with low hassle.
I suppose this is the part where some joker responds to this and says I am mentally ill.
