As you already know, that route is gone. You might consider a bridge app that allows you to open 32bit apps and VST2 apps. Another option is to encourage CLAP creation.Please make VST2 version for Windows 7 and old versions of Cubase!
I have an old machine running Vector Sector, SQ8L, Komplexer and that kind of stuff - this plugin would fit perfectly.
