They did special editions for both Opsix and Wavestate, so it's odd that this beast isn't given its own version. They are ridiculously expensive though.I’ve been spending some time improving patches that I made for the KORG Modwave. I tend to do a lot of the programming and experimenting with the plug-in version first, then I transfer those over to the hardware synth via USB.
That’s when I adjust any settings and finalize each patch to maximize the hands-on playing experience. It’s a very deep and creative synth to design sounds on. It’s also really fun to play live, even though I feel restricted by the number of keys.
I do wish that they would offer a 61 key version with an upgrade to the quality of the keybed, a larger screen and bigger KAOSS Pad for radical, on-the-fly effects performances. But that would likely double the price, so I don’t see it happening anytime soon.
