I definitely prefer this to the OBX but haven't heard any of the precursors so I don't know how accurate either is. 2/5 is pretty badI heard it right away and just actually compared them side by side and I give it a 2/5 for emulation.Maybe we'll get a comparison video with the original soon. But anyway, the emulation really sounds great to my ears anyway.
The OB 1 is a very simple synth and the power is in the pure and raw sound of the oscillators, filter and the tight snappy envelopes. This emulation offers none of that.
The OBX emulation on the other hand is very good and I even prefer that over the OBX8.
