I think it's dumb, but I've seen several people say they ordered it immediately... so I guess it's not that dumb.

Nah, I think it's pretty-much "all for only $299" worth of creepy-promo-video dumb, personally. But I was "hip" before it became popular and commodified (by 'product/brand' association), so there's that.
