By the way, the fever is still high. I skipped the paracetamol because the fever was in the lower range, I slept for a few hours and then it was back to 38 C.
The other symptoms are quiet (I hope these are not my last famous words!), but the fever seems to be still going strong (which means the disease is not over yet…).
I noticed some little details differentiating it from a simple cold: the way I’m sweating (I can’t describe it, but it feels different), the way I’m coughing (with water going from the back of my nose down to my throat), the fact that I could stand with 38 C as if I had nothing going on (usually this kind of fever kills me)…
I don’t want to generalize, these are the things I noticed on my body, and I can probably tell covid apart from a cold with good confidence.
The only difference this time is that I have little to no throat pain. I had a tiny bit before being diagnosed positive, but it felt like something related to air conditioning. If I paid more attention, maybe I could have been diagnosed earlier (but it doesn’t make a difference, given how people behaves). I still had my sense of smell, so I didn’t really worry (it went away a few hours before being diagnosed: I opened a can of spice and the smell was strong, while a few minutes later I couldn’t smell it even by bringing it the can close to my nose).
Anyway, now it’s all about that effing fever…
