Did this ever get solved in a good way? I've tried to find a solution on this forum, VIC and reddit to no avail.Can anyone tell me whats wrong with this ?
Since hours I try to start/stop the sequencer and pattern change from midi but it simply dont work in 9 from ten cases. The notes are right cause in 1 from ten cases it works. I am totally puzzled....
I'm testing Triaz now and I had hoped to work with Triaz this way, which is:
1. Host sync = OFF
2. Trigger banks as needed
3. Not copy midi out until late if ever (from the perspective that everything is open to changes until I'm done, i really don't want to copy past back and forth every time I want to adjust a beat)
From the manual that should be perfectly possible by turning off Host Sync and use midi triggers, but I experience the same as the poster above. Triaz seems to carry over on / off state between restarting the tune in the DAW (Logic), so sometimes it plays without any trigger note present. In addition in the opposite case, trigger notes (bank notes or just sequencer on / off) are being ignored.
So very random to me if it works. I tried to freeze the track as a life hack, and in this case Triaz completely ignores that Host Sync is off, and creates output as if Host Sync is on, it seems.
From a black box perspective, the whole sequencer on / off triggers is asking for state management trouble. As seen with other drum products, a strategy where Triaz plays a bank for the duration of the trigger note and otherwise staying silent would solve this and be very welcome.
