I don’t know about percussion kids, but I will chime in and say that the filters in MSoundFactory are good, and plentiful in type, but they are not what one would call “analog emulations.” That said, you can get that out of it, without too much trouble. The key is putting the right gain effects before and after the filter stage. If you don’t overdo it, you can get really nice organic sounding filters. I wouldn’t go as far as to say it’s a great analog filter emulation, but you can get some really good sounding interesting stuff from them.The current 60% off makes me feel the need to check this out. Actually the weakness of the filters was something that put me off using Falcon, but they added some better ones in the last few updates. So perhaps MSoundFactory won't do much for me.
Is it any good for setting up percussion kits, or is the layout too messy?
