Yea fascinating, what you encountered is really something else. 40ms is way more drastic than what i was refering to, and it apparently had another causeThanks for the comment - interesting, although, in my case this does not appear to be the issue. I seem to have made 2 identical posts on this topic (not sure how :-/) but in the other I explain it seems to be some glitch on the one drum track I was working on, that the delay compensation (around 40ms) remained even after I deleted all the inserts, so I presume it was a one off glitch because I have not seen the same behaviours on other tracks, and I was able to make a fresh track which worked totally as expected.
The Bounce in place behaviour you describe is another issue - I have not looked into that as yet but I intend to.
The BiP issues i m talking about are often subtle and barely noticable to many users, but their elusiveness doesn't change their negative impact overall: it's a transient killer bug overall, despite not affecting every transient at a 100% rate all the time.
