I've also just checked and it's now £300 for a crossgrade (!). I'm sure it was about half that before they release v14 so that's a bit of a sticking point.Ok, sounds like when I have some time I should give Cubase a try (although not urgent because I'm okay with Studio One v6 for the moment).I'm on a custom built PC, and can run 30% more tracks in Cubase than I can in S1.
One question thought - since you're on PC did you check the windows CPU meter in the task manager when comparing Studio One to Cubase? It's something I'll obviously do if I test it out but would be good to know if you had a look at that and can confirm that Cubase is more CPU efficient (or at least as efficient) as Studio One for exactly the same number of tracks/instruments/plugins/buffer size.
And I've also just remembered that they don't support VST2 and some of my much loved plugins don't have a VST3 version. That's another sticking point, for the moment at least.
