The big draw for me from the ren series is rbass and rvox. The former idk another plugin that does that, at least not easily; and the latter for ease of use and good sound.

As for FF it's Pro-L and Pro-C I use most. And Pro-R.
Rbass is adding harmonics higher up. There's definitely other plugs that do that now.

These plugins, like soundtoys, were ahead of their time. But their time was long ago. There's definitely things that do the same thing different and/or better now. Doesn't mean those tools are bad, just that they aren't "special" anymore - beyond their timing and impact on the market, of course.

Tools from long ago get used a lot by people using them long ago that liked them and continue using them. This doesn't somehow mean old tools are automatically better, just prone to nostalgia and habit. Popular tools widely used may become standards. But standards are not laws of the universe, and the universe continues to evolve.
