ET-301 has a unique, charming sound and I hope to get that sound one day again. Meanwhile I use Modnetik as my main character delay, it has excellent options to tune the sound, but it also remains too hi-fi to reproduce the hissy, dubby, almost metallic, cheap feedback of ET-301.
Haven't used the ET-301 for quite some time but from what I remember, isn't the sound (at least roughly) similar to the Space Echo?
So have you tried any of the Space Echo emus already?, I like the one from GSI for example, but there are quite a few others.
If you really need that old digital delay sound, I'd say set up Reason's The Echo and do some sound design to match. Notable features:
* Feedback loop accepts other plugins, so you can add any noise/crush/filter/comp to dial in the feedback sound.
* The feedback loop allows you to go >100%, meaning you can push it into serious feedback crunch.
* You can mod the time as tape, ie with pitch change or without pitch change.
* It also gives you ducking.
I used to own an old Ibanez mono digital delay rack unit, and The Echo would be my go to if I need some real dub style echos.
