I’ve watched three episodes and it’s really good so far. They’ve backed off on showing the most (stabby stabby) violence which is probably a good choice as they lean more into the humour. The Gentlemen on Netflix. Surprised me a little that Guy Ritchie can do TV possibly better than film - it's not quite as predictable as some of his stuff and some nice touches, but obviously still Ritchie. Vinnie is in it and so far hasn't gone berserker on anyone yet - though I'm sure he will at some point.
Watched the finale of Masters of the Air. By far the weakest of the three related WW2 set shows, it did have a few decent moments mainly towards the end when they showed more on the ground and got away from the uncanny valley plane CGI. Weren’t enough character moments for me and I know they’re building up Austin Butler for a Brad Pitt style career but I find him a real charisma vacuum of an actor. He was possibly not helped by having a lot fewer interesting scenes than the other two main leads that played Harry and Bucky.
The brief affair between Harry and the Bel Powley character was one of the only non generic and human feeling parts of the series to me.
