On the one hand some people use old DAW versions or just old DAWs that reveive no further updates and on the other hand VST2 files are way more flexible regarding the installation path. The latter is why I still use VST2 if possible because I have a dedicated second hard drive in my PC which I use for music stuff. The VST3 stuff cannot be installed there and I just don't understand why VST3 is not that flexible in this regard. How come that VST2 is still frequently requested? I mean, it's been officially out of support by Steinberg since 2013, which is 11 years ago. VST3 is there since 2008.. and now we have CLAPVST2 is deadSo no more VST2?
Long live the CLAP![]()
